I am one of several subject matter experts that will be co-instructing this course along with several other emergency service professionals.
I have been a Tactical Paramedic with the Kitsap Co. Sheriff's Office for more than seven years. The passion of tactical medicine is a sub-set to my career as a Firefighter Paramedic with the Poulsbo Fire Department. As a professional I have had the privilege of playing a small part in assisting our community in being better prepared for mass casualty events and training law enforcement officers on self survival techniques.
Aside from my affiliation with a federal disaster response team I have also had the privilege of being part of EMPACT NW. A home grown international disaster response organization that started in the shadow of the 2010 Haiti Earthquake and has grown to a very capable technically diverse team of professionals.
I firmly believe in the concept of "it takes a village" in all areas of emergency response and look for opportunities to educate the village knowing some of the complications if disaster strikes.
